Events & Volunteer Opportunities

We all can make a difference, especially when we work together.  Help teach kids the value of volunteering while also protecting our local waterways.

Join an Established Litter Pick Up Program:

Indian Land Green holds a monthly cleanup on the second Saturday of each month. This group of volunteers meets at the Indian Land Masonic Lodge at 9189 Charlotte Highway (Hwy 521) at 8:30 am. All supplies will be provided. Approximately 1.5 hours are spent cleaning the roadway and the center medium. Even this short amount of time makes a huge difference in moving us toward a litter-free SC!

Interested in Marking Storm Drains in your Neighborhood?
Drain Marker Frog 2 transp

Storm drains make it easy for stormwater to reach the nearest waterbody, but pollution can also follow the same direct pathway and hurt our local waterways. The pollution can come from many places, but the simplest is when non-stormwater items (such as oil, trash, paint, wash water, etc.) are dumped directly into storm drains. Educational marking at storm drains can help highlight this connection and warn any would-be polluter of the consequences of dumping items into storm drains.
