Lancaster Piranhas Swim Team

Program Description:
This is a competitive swim team that competes in the Summer Metrolina Swim League, which is made up of Rock Hill area teams. The season begins early-May with practices and the meets start in June. The season will be over by the end of June.
Each participant will receive a team swim cap and t-shirt. The bathing suit must be purchased separately. We offer a team swim suit that is listed in your packet that you can purchase. If your child does not have a team swim suit, they must wear a solid navy swim suit for the swim meets.
If this is your child's first time participating on the Lancaster Swim Team or if your child did not swim on the team last year, your child MUST attend the Skills Assessment on Saturday, May 7 at 11:00am at Wylie Street Pool (106 South Wylie Street, Lancaster, SC). If your child is 10 & under, he/she must be able to swim 25 yards (1 lap) of freestyle and backstroke without stopping and assistance. If your child is 11 & up, he/she must be able to swim 50 yards (2 laps) of freestyle and backstroke without stopping and assistance. If your child does not pass the skills assessment, you will be given the option of a full refund or transfer into our swim lesson program.
Practice will begin on Saturday, May 7 at 12pm for all returning swimmers and the swimmers that passed the skills assessment. We will have a fun filled day with some practice and fun time in the pool to get to know the all the swimmers. There will be a parent meeting held Saturday, May 7 following the first practice. Parents need to attend as details about the season will be given and discussed at that time.
All practices will be held at the Wylie Street Pool in Lancaster, SC this season. There will be 3-4 home meets at the Wylie Street Pool and 2-3 away meets in the Rock Hill area.
