County Wide Youth Basketball (Ages 5-12)

Due to Covid-19 Protocols, we will be required to have a capacity limit at our basketball games and practices. For games, there will be a capacity limit of 4 people per player on a team (with the exception of children 4 years old and younger) to watch games. For practices, friends and family will not be allowed inside the gym to watch practice. For the first week of practice parents may enter the gym with their child to meet 

Co-ed Basketball
(Boys & Girls, ages 5 & 6) 

Registration fee- $70 for all ages

Program Description

This is a co-ed youth basketball league for boys and girls ages 5 and 6. This is a developmental league therefore officiating will be very lenient. The purpose of this league is for the players to learn the basic fundamentals of basketball in game situations. The age cutoff date is September 1st of playing year.  Each player will receive a regular-season uniform set including a jersey & shorts. Each player is required to play one full quarter and sit one full quarter. Regular Season Games will begin TBA (Games will mostly be on Saturdays***).

Jamboree & Picture Day
• TBA
• All players are recommended to take team pictures on picture day, but do not have to, nor do you have to purchase any team or individual packages. We use the team pictures to provide to our sponsors as a token of appreciation.

Team Distribution
All players in this division will be blindly drafted to teams by the coaches. There are no guarantees your child will be placed on the team, or coach, that may be requested for transportation or any other reasons. Head Coaches will be guaranteed their own children, plus one (1) Assistant Coach’s child OR one (1) Team Sponsor’s child. The Head Coach will be allowed a maximum of two trades, which must take place the night of the draft. You should hear from your coach by the week of TBA

Points of Emphasis
-6U will not keep score to focus on the developmental aspects of the game.
-6U will not have playoffs/championship.

- Springdale Recreation Center (8:30-5:00 pm)
- Walnut Creek Park (8:30-5:00 pm)
- Buford Recreation Center -TBA
- AJ Recreation Center -TBA

*There are four locations to try on uniforms for players. If you choose to sign up online please know that any reorders could result in an extra charge. Please know that the uniforms are equivalent in size to normal athletic attire.

All-Star Fee: $40.00 (ages 9 and up boys and girls)

All-Star Fee: $30.00 ( 7 & 8 years old)

(Games will mostly be on Saturdays***). There will only be the potential for local play in 6U, 8U Boys, and 10U Boys.

Player Skill Evaluations:
Evaluations are not tryouts and will consist of various skill-related drills. These evaluations will be used in the draft process to make teams more evenly matched. All registered participants are asked to attend, and coaches are asked to be evaluators. Evaluations may not be conducted in an age group/area if there will not be multiple teams.

LCPR will conduct LOCAL ONLY All-Stars, but it is subject to change.
