Robin Ghent- Veteran Affairs Officer

Ms. Ghent has been employed with the county since 2003.  She was appointed the Officer of the Veterans Affairs Office in 2010.  Ms. Ghent is currently the Immediate Past President of the South Carolina Association of County Veterans Affairs Officers until July 1, 2020.  She also serves on the National Association of County Veterans Affairs Officers as the Secretary as well as being appointed to serve on the board for the South Carolina Veterans Trust Fund. Ms. Ghent was awarded the Service Officer of the Year for 2019.  She has also obtained the appropriate training to be accredited and to have access to the federal VA Claims system.

Beth Raffaldt – Deputy Veteran Affairs Officer

Mrs. Raffaldt has been employed as the Deputy Veteran Affairs Officer since February 2010.  As an affiliate member of the South Carolina Association of County Veteran Affairs Officers she is the chairperson for Public Relations since July 2014.  Mrs. Raffaldt won the Member of the Year award for 2019.  This award was given by the South Carolina Association of County Veteran Affairs Officers.  She has also obtained the appropriate training to be accredited and to have access to the federal VA Claims system.

Amy Harper - Veteran Affairs Admin Assistant/DAV Van Coordinator

Ms. Harper started working with Lancaster County in August 2014 and transferred into our office in July 2016 as the Admin Assistant and the DAV Van Coordinator.  She works closely with Volunteer Services at Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia SC concerning the DAV van. Ms. Harper has received the appropriate training to be accredited.
